Key Ingredients

For a rich and savory broth, use a good-quality pork or chicken broth as the base. Avoid low-sodium or chicken broth with added salt, as this will affect the overall flavor balance.

For the best flavor, choose a high-quality soy sauce. Some popular brands include Kikkoman and La Choy. Don’t be shy with the garlic – three to four cloves should be minced and added to the pot for an intense flavor.
