Key Ingredients

When it comes to the ingredients, you’ll want to use high-quality tells to make the best-tasting Iowa Party Bites possible. For the cheese, choose a block of creamy cheddar and a smaller bag of coleslaw mix. Look for a meat thermometer to ensure the beef is safely cooked to an internal temperature of 160 F. And, don’t overdo it with the Worcestershire sauce – a little goes a long way when it comes to adding that depth of flavor.

For the best flavor and presentation, be sure to chop the scallions by cutting them on an angle, following the curve of the green. This will make them easier to sprinkle on top of the bites.
