    2 tbsp Italian seasoning

    1 tsp garlic powder

    1 tsp salt

    1/4 cup olive oil

    Fresh parsley

    Fresh basil

    Fresh feta cheese (optional)

    2 cloves garlic, minced

    Cherry tomatoes, halved

Why This Recipe Works

  • The combination of Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt creates a savory flavor profile that is both authentic and delicious.
  • Using olive oil for cooking not only provides the needed moisture but also adds a subtle fruity taste to the pasta.
  • Adding fresh herbs like parsley and basil at the end gives the dish a burst of freshness and aroma.

Key Ingredients

When selecting your pasta, look for short, wide tubes that hold their texture and have a smooth surface. Fresh herbs like parsley and basil should be used as close to the serving time as possible, so their fragrance remains potent. Feta cheese can be a nice addition if desired, but make sure to crumble it into small pieces for an even distribution of flavor.

Ingredients

250 g ditalini pasta

2 tbsp Italian seasoning

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp salt

1/4 cup olive oil

Fresh parsley

Fresh basil

Fresh feta cheese (optional)

2 cloves garlic, minced

Cherry tomatoes, halved

Directions

1
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the ditalini pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining the ditalini.

2
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant and lightly golden. Add cherry tomatoes and cook for another 4-5 minutes, until they start to release their juices and the sauce thickens.

3
In a large bowl, combine the cooked ditalini pasta, garlic-infused sauce, and 1/2 cup of the reserved pasta water. Toss everything together to coat the pasta evenly and adjust seasoning if necessary.

4
Add some grated feta cheese (if using) on top, sprinkle with fresh parsley, basil, and serve immediately.

5
To serve, garnish each portion of the pasta with additional parsley and basil for a pop of color and a presentation that’s simply divine.

Storage & Reheating

For storing leftovers, transfer the cooled pasta mixture to an airtight container and refrigerate or freeze until you’re ready to reheat. You can easily reheat it by tossing everything together in a microwave-safe bowl and reheating in 30-second increments until well coated with the sauce. Otherwise, refrigerate for up to a day or freeze for up to 2 months. Adjust seasoning if needed before serving.
