Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla bean paste
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp fine salt
  • 2 cups dark chocolate chunks (60% cacao)
  • 1 tsp flaky sea salt (for topping)

Instructions
 

  • Whisk flour, baking soda, and fine salt in a bowl.
  • Cream butter and sugars in a mixer for 5 minutes until pale.
  • Add eggs and vanilla bean paste; mix well.
  • Fold in dry ingredients gently. Stir in chocolate chunks.
  • Scoop into large balls and chill for 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 11-13 minutes. Top with sea salt.
