Crispy Honey Garlic Salmon Bites – 25 Minutes

This honey glazed salmon is easy enough for a weeknight meal yet perfect for serving guests. Pair it with rice and steamed veggies for a complete dinner.

  • Author: Maya Collins
  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 15 minutes
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ lb salmon, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoons chopped chives

Instructions

  1. Pat dry the salmon cubes with a paper towel and season them with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Pour about 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the salmon and gently massage the cubes to coat evenly.
  2. Heat a heavy skillet with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the salmon cubes in a single layer and cook for 4–5 minutes, flipping frequently until crispy and golden. Transfer the cooked salmon to a plate and repeat with the remaining salmon.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Sauté for approximately 1 minute.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Return the crispy salmon cubes to the skillet and gently toss until evenly coated with the honey garlic sauce. Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
  6. Serve the honey garlic salmon bites over rice and enjoy.

Notes

Dry the salmon thoroughly with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
Cut the salmon into evenly sized cubes to ensure uniform cooking.
Gently toss the salmon with the seasoning mixture until all pieces are evenly coated.
Add cayenne pepper to the seasoning blend for a spicy kick.
For deeper flavor, marinate the salmon in the seasoning mixture for 30 minutes to 1 hour if time allows.
Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
Air fryer option: Preheat the air fryer to 390°F and cook the salmon for 7–9 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Chicken or shrimp can be substituted for salmon. Adjust cooking times accordingly.
The ingredient list includes sesame seeds and chopped chives, but the original instructions do not specify when to add them.
